Hours: Monday—Thursday, 8:00 a.m.—8:00 p.m.; Friday 8:00 a.m.—6:00 p.m.. Appointments are needed for services.
Eligibility: Children age 17 and younger and their families. No legal residency required. Sliding fee scale. Accept Medicaid, CHIP, and some insurance plans.

The coalition networks to help victims of human trafficking obtain the mandated pre-certification for state services, and provides many other services: Legal advocacy & representation Long-term counseling services Food, clothing, furniture & household goods Intensive case management for pre- and post-certification Employment preparation & search Immigration assistance Resettlement services Cultural orientation Transportation Long-term housing

Services: The Family Violence Protection Team provides three primary services:
1. Investigative Services: Investigate cases of family violence assault, kidnapping, stalking, and protective order violations
2. Legal Services: Streamlined process for obtaining emergency or long-term protective orders.
3. Social Services: Victim Services counselors are the first point of contact for survivors who come to the FVPT office. This allows the victim to have needs assessed immediately. SafePlace offers crisis and long-term counseling and referrals, emergency shelter, and transitional housing. Children of clients accessing services at FVPT can receive free counseling from the Austin Child Guidance Center.

Eligibility: For victims of domestic abuse, including verbal abuse. No legal residency required.

Services: Emergency shelter for victims of abuse; Individual counseling; Support groups; Legal advocacy and court accompaniment; Play therapy for young children unable to participate in traditional "talk" therapy; Forensic videotaping of a child’s statement when he or she is suspected of being abused; Parenting program for all ages to facilitate the development of positive family relationships; Education and prevention programs to increase awareness and understanding of family violence, sexual assault and child abuse in schools, businesses, churches and community organizations; Information and referral services; Services for victims and their supportive loved ones

Hours: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday. Appointments needed for services, but walk-ins are welcome for consultations.

Eligibility: All services are free and confidential. Must live in Hays or Caldwell counties. No legal residency required.

Services: SAHELI offers the following services for victims and survivors: Confidential Help Line Short and Long Term Resources, such as emergency shelter, housing, household items, transportation, translation/interpretation services, child care, jobs, education, financial and medical assistance Group and Individual Counseling Legal help with issues of domestic violence, family law, or immigration Support Groups and Workshops for Survivors. Past workshop topics have addressed self-esteem, assertiveness, effective communication skills, conflict resolution, stress reduction, and safety and emergency planning. Workshops include resume-writing, job interviewing techniques, job searching resources, and computer skills.

Eligibility: No requirements. No legal residency required.


Languages: Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Hindi, and others can be translated.
